Buffalo Chicken Fettuccine

This Buffalo Chicken Fettuccine is a great change from the typical spaghetti with meat sauce I usually make.

buffalo chicken fettuccine

It needed a little tweaking to not be so so hot for our family, but let me tell you….it was such a yummy recipe, and super easy to make!

The original recipe comes from Fifteen Spatulas.  I added a tad more milk and a tad less hot sauce, and it was the perfect flavor for everyone!

Skip The Housework Saturday

After months of doing The Weekly Creative with amazingly talented bloggers, we’ve decided to call it quits.

For many reasons, I’ve decided to go solo again with my party.

Flaky, I know.

But, sometimes you have to make decisions that are in your best interest, and this…is one of those decisions!

I’m super pumped to be back on my own.

I know I won’t get 300+ entries like The Weekly Creative used to get – but I’m really looking forward to getting to know YOU, my readers more.

This will give me the opportunity to visit more of you and get to know you.  It’s a blogging goal for myself in 2014!

I plan to feature my TOP 10 reasons to skip your housework and PIN all of my features to the giant group boards that I am part of.

That means great exposure for you and your schtuff!

So, I’ll see you back here Saturday morning, 8AM EST for… Skip The Housework Saturday.

Wait a little longer to do the dishes.

Plop on over to the computer in your jammies and link up all of your wonderful inspirations!

You might even get an invite to contribute over at my other site, The Inspiration Network.  So, it will be a great party to be a part of! Can’t wait to start off fresh and see your goodies!

Hello Kitty!

Need I say more?

Love…these…stamps…

I’m one of the newest members of the 2014 PSA Essentials Design Team – so you’re gonna see a lot of fun around here this year.

A LOT.

Here’s how I made this sign:

PSA Essentials 1

PSA Essentials 2

I used a magnet board I’d found in the dollar bin at Target a few months back.

It was the perfect thing to make over for this project-o-mine.

I stamped out my W~E~L~C~O~M~E using my PSA Essentials letter set and then cut them out.

I would have used a 2″circle stamp cut out thingy….but alas, all I had was a 1″, so I did the ole’ trace and cut.

And there ya have it.

A bunch of letters and a bunch of magnets and some Mod Podge.

Glue those letters on, hot glue those magnets to the sign.

Hang.

Smile!

There ya have it! A simple Welcome Sign to jazz up your front door.

You can interchange felt shapes each holiday to make it more festive.

EASY.

SIMPLE.

My kind of project!  YAY!

Check out the full line of PSA Essentials Peel n Stick stamps here.

They’re so…much…fun!

Conversation Heart Art

There are projects that you take days to figure out and then there are the projects that come to you while standing in the wood aisle at Joann’s.

This Valentine’s Day Conversation Heart Art is easy to make for your Valentine’s Day Decor!

conversation heart art

All you’ll need to make this project is paint, a wood plaque {or a small canvas}, and small wood hearts.

It’s quite simple, really.  Paint your base, paint the hearts, write your sayings, and glue em’ down~!

And…DONE!

This project will take you about 30 minutes {and that’s only because of drying time!}

You could even have the kids help paint or have the kids choose the sayings to go on the hearts.

Happy decorating!

REPREVE X Games Beanie

Are you a recycler? Do you have one of these blue bins that you roll out to the street once a week?  Do you even recycle in your city??   Here in Phoenix, I think the recycling is pretty basic.  Blue bin, put it out, in it goes….. I know some cities have you sort things into different types of bins, and by different types of materials.

The U.S. plastic bottle recycling rate is less than 30 percent—so less than one-third of all plastic bottles get recycled. Most people don’t think about what happens to plastic bottles after you recycle them. So Repreve is on a mission to get the word out:

Just recycle more.

And buy REPREVE products.

What is Repreve?

Repreve is a fiber made from recycled plastic bottles. Those bottles are cleaned and chopped into flakes and then turned into something called Repreve chip. The chip is melted and extruded to make fiber.  This fiber is made into sustainable fabrics that are then used to make things we can wear and use. Like the Denali North Face jackets and these lime green beanies {that pro-snowboarder Elena Hight will be wearing at the 2014 X-Games in Aspen!}.

REPREVE will take recycling to new heights with a special green event at the 2014 Winter X Games Aspen (Jan. 23-26, 2014).

Professional snowboarder Elena Hight, REPREVE’s brand ambassador, will compete in the Women’s Superpipe in a bright green Volcom jacket made with REPREVE (from 50 recycled plastic bottles). REPREVE will hand out free beanies (6 recycled plastic bottles) to fans at the Women’s Final Superpipe event, to wear and line the pipe with REPREVE green.

It’s not just about free swag, though. This is an event with a serious mission: to show the world that we have to get everybody involved in recycling—to create a reprieve for the planet.

What products use Repreve

A lot of brands you love use REPREVE to make their products greener:

• Volcom graphic t-shirts are made with REPREVE, using 2 recycled plastic bottles.
• One Patgonia fleece jacket with REPREVE has 40 recycled plastic bottles, so you can be a real “active-ist.”
• Life Khaki by Haggar uses REPREVE to put 7 recycled plastic bottles in every pair of pants; so wear what you believe.

Other brands made with REPREVE: The North Face, Polartec, Patagonia, Beija-Flor, Lauren Conrad’s XO(eco) by Blue Avocado, Swiftwick socks, and more.

The luckiest plastic bottles get made into a eco-friendly recycled fleece beanie made from REPREVE.

One REPREVE green beanie is made from 6 recycled plastic bottles.

Fitness Mug Month #DunkinMugUp

How many of you made a resolution to get moving more this year? {insert raised hand here} I certainly did and so I’m super pumped that it’s Fitness Mug Month with #DunkinMugUp! The last few months I’ve shared a photo campaign by Dunkin’ Donuts. October was Trick or Treat Mug, November was Movember Mustache Mug, December was the Holiday Mug, and this month it’s all about getting up and energizing yourself – moving, and being FIT.

#dunkinmugup

This year it’s IMPERATIVE that I get moving more. If I want to continue to eat the special treats that I love so much, I at least need to move more. This month’s Fitness Mug for me is with my cup of coffee, getting ready for a walk with my little one. She’s almost 4 and won’t stop moving. Taking her for a walk each day she’s home with me, is the perfect way to help stick to my resolution. Doing “something” each day to move a little…that’s what I’m sticking to!

So, get your fitness outfits on, brew a cup of your favorite Dunkin Donuts coffee {my fave is the French Vanilla} and get moving! Snap a pic of you in your fitness gear, with your favorite mug, and enter it here to win big Dunkin Donuts prizes!

Enter daily with Instagram too!  {use #DunkinMugUp } SO many ways to enter and show your Dunkin love!

Whether it’s simulation surfing or candlelight yoga, Dunkin’ Donuts wants to see how you plan to get charged in 2014. Upload a photo of yourself charging up with your daily coffee and launching a new hobby here for a chance to win prizes!
